นักวิจัย มข.สร้างชื่อระดับนานาชาติ ได้รับการจัดอันดับอยู่ในกลุ่มนักวิทยาศาสตร์ชั้นนำระดับโลก World’s Top 2% Scientists 2022
วารสาร PLOS BIOLOGY ได้ตีพิมพ์บทความเรื่อง “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators” ซึ่งได้เผยแพร่ข้อมูลรายชื่อนักวิทยาศาสตร์ที่ได้รับการอ้างอิงสูงสุดของโลก ใน 22 สาขาวิชาหลัก และ 176 สาขาวิชาย่อย โดยการเก็บข้อมูลตัวชี้วัดต่าง ๆ ได้แก่ citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score) และจัดอันดับนักวิทยาศาสตร์ Top 2% ของโลก โดยใช้ค่า c-score แบ่งเป็น 2 ประเภท ได้แก่
1. Career-long data ใช้ข้อมูล citation ตั้งแต่ปี 1996-2021
2. single recent year data ใช้ข้อมูล citation ตลอดทั้งปี 2021
